Topics Include:
- Study Smarter, Not Harder
Students will learn specific strategies for making the grade in college.
Issues such as taking effective notes, writing quality term papers, studying efficiently for various types of tests,
and avoiding procrastination with good organizational planning will be covered.
- Testing 1-2-3 Testing
Midterms and final exams usually make up the greatest percentage of a student's grade. Therefore,
it is very important for students to understand the difference in various types of tests as well as the best ways
to study in order to maximze their grades on any given exam.
- A Major Choice
Many students enter college "undecided" as to what they want to major in. This presentation will
explore the many career options available and help students see the importance of choosing not just something that will
make them a good income but also something they love and will enjoy doing.
- Money Matters: Handling Your Finances
This essential presentation will help college students plan for expenses they will encounter not
only throughout college but once they graduate. Some of the topics that will be explored include: how to match
expense with income, how to plan for future purchases, how to save for the future, and the need to have multiple
incomes.
